Privacy Policy

Meetance is a clean dating and social discovery platform for adults who want respectful introductions, healthy conversations, safe meetups and meaningful relationships. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we use it, how safety review works, and what choices members have.

By using Meetance, creating an account, uploading photos, using nearby discovery, sending messages, joining video or voice features, or changing notification settings, you agree that your information may be handled as described here.

1. Information You Provide

We collect information you choose to provide when you register, complete onboarding, update your profile, use profile completion tools, contact support or interact with other members.

Account details such as username, email address, password credentials, language, registration source and login/session information.
Profile information such as age or birthdate, gender, what you are looking for, city, phone number if provided, interests, answers to profile questions, preferences and relationship goals.
Photos, profile media and related moderation records. Uploaded photos may be stored in original and optimized forms so moderators can review quality and safety.
Messages, reports, support tickets, comments, likes, swipes, matches, winks, gifts and other member interactions.
Settings such as privacy controls, notification preferences, online visibility, email preferences and mobile or browser notification choices.

2. Location and Nearby Discovery

Meetance uses location information to help members find nearby people and improve match recommendations. You may manually choose a city, and your browser may also ask for permission to use precise location during registration or later profile completion.

If you allow precise location, we may store latitude, longitude, detected city, country code and related location signals.
If you do not allow precise location, you can still choose a city manually, but distance-based matching may be less accurate.
Location information may be used for nearby matching, cache warming, safety checks, fraud prevention, abuse investigation and account integrity.
Do not share your exact address, workplace, financial details or other sensitive personal information publicly on your profile.

3. Cookies, Sessions and Device Data

Meetance uses cookies, session storage and similar technologies to keep you signed in, protect forms with CSRF tokens, remember onboarding progress, store language or interface preferences, support security features and measure site activity.

We may collect device and request information such as IP address, browser type, operating system, referrer, visited pages, timestamps, error logs, visitor sessions and anti-abuse signals. This helps us operate the service, prevent spam, improve performance and investigate security issues.

4. Messages, Moderation and Safety Review

Meetance is designed to be a respectful dating community. To keep the platform clean, we may use automated filters, bad-word detection, reporting tools, admin review and risk flags.

Messages or profile text that contain abusive words, scams, threats, harassment, sexual solicitation, escort offers, bribery, payment requests or unsafe content may be masked, blocked, logged, reviewed or removed.
Reports from members may include profile details, message context, media, timestamps and account information so admins can investigate fairly.
Admins may access limited moderation records when needed for safety, support, legal compliance, abuse prevention or platform integrity.

5. Photo and Media Review

Photos uploaded to Meetance are not automatically guaranteed to appear publicly. They may be checked by moderation tools and admins before or after display. Explicit nudity, sexual, erotic, pornographic, fetish, violent, illegal, misleading or stolen images are not allowed.

Pending photos may be visible to you while they are under review. Approved photos may become visible to other members. Rejected or deleted photos may be hidden, and moderation records may be retained when necessary for safety and audit purposes.

6. Voice, Video and Communication Features

If you use calling, video chat or realtime communication features, Meetance may process call setup data, signaling data, call status, device permission state, connection logs and related technical information needed to connect members. We may use STUN/TURN infrastructure or similar systems to help establish calls. We do not want members to use these features for nudity, sexual services, harassment, threats, recording without consent or unsafe conduct.

7. How We Use Information

To create and secure accounts, authenticate members and maintain sessions.
To show profiles, recommendations, nearby members, matches and compatibility features.
To process uploads, review photos, moderate content and enforce community rules.
To send transactional emails, verification emails, notification emails, push notifications or Telegram/mobile alerts if enabled.
To provide support, backups, abuse investigation, fraud prevention, safety enforcement and service improvement.
To maintain logs, analytics, page cache, performance monitoring and error tracking.

8. Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell member profiles as a dating product. We may share limited information with service providers that help us operate hosting, email, SMS, push notifications, image processing, security, analytics, storage, support or communication services. We may disclose information if required by law, to protect members, to investigate abuse, to prevent fraud or to enforce these policies.

9. Your Choices

You can edit profile details, photos, notification preferences and privacy settings from your account area.
You can choose whether to allow precise browser location. You can later change browser permission settings from your browser or device.
You can block or report members who make you uncomfortable.
You can unsubscribe or adjust some email and notification preferences where available.
You can contact support for account access, privacy questions or removal requests.

10. Data Retention

We keep information for as long as needed to provide Meetance, maintain security, comply with obligations, resolve disputes, enforce rules, prevent repeated abuse and protect the community. Some deleted content may remain in backups, logs or moderation records for a limited period where necessary.

11. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect member information. No online service can guarantee perfect security. Members should use strong passwords, keep login details private, avoid sharing sensitive information with strangers and report suspicious behavior quickly.

12. Children

Meetance is only for adults. People under 18 may not create accounts or use dating features. If we learn that a minor has created an account, we may remove the account and related content.

13. Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy as Meetance changes. The latest version on this page applies when published.
